Mobius Children’s Museum field trips are an educational and fun experience for schools, clubs, scouts, and organizations to learn through hands-on exploration at a reduced rate!
Field Trip Reduced Admission
$5 per student
Self-guided exploration of the exhibit floor. Mobius Children's Museum requires a minimum of 10 paying children per group to receive reduced admission, with a maximum of 100 children.
*Mobius memberships, complimentary passes, and/or coupons are not valid for field trips.
Field Trip + STEM Workshop
$10 per student
Self-guided exploration of the exhibit floor + STEM Workshop. Students will participate in a fun, hands-on STEM experience led by a Mobius educator. Our STEM workshops help provide an extension to STEM-based curriculum taught in a classroom or homeschool setting. All workshops are NGSS aligned and can be tailored to your group's needs.
Earth Science - Worm Composting · Grades K-5
Worms may be small but they play a huge role in the natural processes that create healthy soil. Students will learn about the importance of worms, decomposing, and recycling food as they create a worm compost bin for their classroom.
Biology -Pollinators · Grades K-3
How do flowers make seeds? Why are bees so important for growing fruits and vegetables? Explore the dynamic relationship between flowers and pollinators!
Chemistry - Chemistry 101 · Grades K-5
What is a chemical reaction and how do we know when one is happening? In this introduction to chemistry workshop, students will answer these questions through colorful and bubbly experiments.
Dissections -Owl Pellet Dissection · Grades K-3
Ever wonder what happens after an owl enjoys a tasty meal? Learn about this silent hunter and the critters they call dinner by piecing together the bones, feathers, and fur that you find when you dig into owl pellets with us!
- Cancellations: A $50.00 non-refundable Lab deposit may be required when scheduling a STEM workshop. Groups cancelling 7 or more days in advance of their visit may use their $50.00 non-refundable deposit towards a future visit; groups cancelling within 7 days of their workshop will forfeit their non-refundable deposit.
Field Trip Times
Field trips are scheduled, based on availability for organized groups of 10-100 children. Groups are able to schedule a field trip from 10:30am-12pm, 1pm-2:30pm, and 3pm-4:30pm daily.
Length of Field Trip
Field trips last 90 minutes. Please plan to arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled time to receive a short introduction to learn about all the fun and educational opportunities at Mobius Children's Museum.
Field Trip Chaperones
1 free adult required for every 4 children. $5 per additional chaperone or siblings over 12 months old.
Field Trip Reservations and Payment
To schedule your next field trip, call our Admissions Desk at 509.321.7121. Reserve your field trip in advance for best date and time selection. Payment is required on the day of the field trip. If you will be using a Purchase Order, please inform the Admission's Desk Attendant at time of scheduling.
Field Trip Confirmation
We will email you a confirmation letter with additional information and the date and time of your visit. Please take a moment to review the field trip materials with your group before your visit.
If you would like your group to have lunch at the museum, our Birthday Lab can be reserved for half an hour during your field trip time. Reservations are based on availability. The Food Court at River Park Square is not available for brown bag lunches; however, the Kress Gallery may be reserved on a limited basis. Call 509.456.3413 to inquire.
Transportation and Parking
Metered parking is available on the street. The museum is unable to provide or validate parking. There are loading areas in front of River Park Square on Main Ave.
All areas of the museum are fully wheel chair accessible. Elevator access is available on Main Ave., between Pottery Barn and Banana Republic. Attendants of disabled persons receive free museum admission.
Scholarship Field Trips
Through the Mobius Children's Museum Scholarship Program, we have limited funding available for scholarship field trips. For more information and/or to request a field trip scholarship application, please call 509.321.7121 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.

Big Brother, Big Sisters
Show your Big Brothers and Big Sisters program card and receive two discounted bounce passes, one for the Big and one for the Little to experience both Mobius Children's Museum and Mobius Science Center all in the same day. *BBBS program card must be presented to receive discounted passes, limited to two discounted passes per day.
