Summary

Provides leadership, as well as day-to-day administrative and functional management of activities and staff with an emphasis on customer service. Provides a safe and friendly experience for museum guests by assisting in the daily operations of the museum, program registration, admissions, membership registration, group and birthday party reservations, and maintenance of databases and websites. Reports to Associate Director.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all duties involving Floor and Visitor Services Staff.
• Hires, trains, and manages staff with an emphasis on the mission and goals of the organizational.
• Responsible for all Membership related duties.
• Assist in preparing museum for opening and closing.
• Provide friendly and informed service to our visitors, donors, and board of directors.
• Cash handling and till reconciliation.
• Registration for memberships, group visits, classes, and camps.
• Editing and maintaining website content.
• Editing and maintaining donor, membership, mailing databases.
• Maintain and restocks office supplies as needed.
• Attend staff meetings as scheduled.
• Demonstrate cooperative behavior and attitude with co-workers and supervisors.
• Other responsibilities as required.

Job Qualifications

• Minimum of college degree or equal management experience.
• Management experience preferred
• Experience in a customer service environment
  
• Excellent organizational, written, time management, and interpersonal skills
• Detail oriented, reliable, resourceful, a creative problem-solver
• Proven ability to lead, prioritize, multi-task, and problem solve in a timely manner
• Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and email software; as well as other possible office equipment
• Wide degree of latitude and flexibility is a necessity
• Ability to foster a cooperative work environment in a team-based structure; ability to work and effectively communicate with individuals in a diverse community
• Must possess professional image and demeanor in association with required duties
